editThe Miners finished the 2023–24 season 18–16, 7–9 in C-USA play to finish a four-way tie for fourth place. As an No. 5 seed in the C-USA tournament they defeated Liberty in the quarterfinals and Sam Houston in the semifinals before losing in the championship game to Western Kentucky.
