The Attack
editOn the morning of 28 October, at around 7:00 AM, militants fired upon an Indian Army vehicle in the Battal area of Akhnoor. According to initial reports, the attackers fired multiple rounds at the vehicle, killing three soldiers and injuring two others.[3] The army personnel responded quickly, and a large-scale search operation was immediately launched to track down the militants involved.[4]
