2024 Copa do Brasil finals

The 2024 Copa do Brasil finals were the final two-legged tie that decided the 2024 Copa do Brasil, the 36th season of the Copa do Brasil, Brazil's national cup football tournament organized by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).

The finals were contested in a two-legged home-and-away format between Flamengo, from Rio de Janeiro, and Atlético Mineiro, from Belo Horizonte. Flamengo and Atlético Mineiro reached the Copa do Brasil finals for the tenth (third in a row) and fourth time, respectively. It's the third time that both teams face-to-face in a final, being the first the 1980 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A (won by Flamengo) and the 2022 Supercopa do Brasil (won by Atlético).

The finals took place on 3 and 10 November 2024. A draw by CBF was held on 24 October 2024 to determine the home-and-away teams for each leg. The first leg was hosted by Flamengo at Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro, while the second leg was hosted by Atlético Mineiro at Arena MRV in Belo Horizonte.[1]

Format

In the finals, the teams played a single-elimination tournament with the following rules:

  • The finals will be played on a home-and-away two-legged basis. The home-and-away teams for both legs were determined by a draw held on 24 October 2024 at the CBF headquarters in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
  • If tied on aggregate, the away goals rule and extra time would not be used and the penalty shoot-out would be used to determine the winners. (Regulations Article 20).
