editThe injured, including eight men and four woman, were taken to Shri Maharaja Hari Singh Hospital for treatment. Medical officials reported that all injuries were stable. The incident caused panic among the shoppers, prompting police and paramilitary forces to evacuate the area and launch a search operation for the attackers.[2][3]
Reactions
editJammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah condemned the attack, calling it “deeply disturbing” and emphasizing that there can be no justification for targeting innocent civilians.[4] He urged security forces to take swift action to end the recent spate of violence in the region.
Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary and other local leaders also visited the injured at the hospital, expressing their support and condemning the attack as a cowardly act meant to instill fear in the population.[5]
