Negros Oriental's 3rd district
editThe seat is vacant after Arnolfo Teves Jr. (Nationalist People's Coalition) was expelled on August 16, 2023, after being implicated in the assassination of Negros Oriental governor Roel Degamo. Teves was re-elected with 48.99% of the vote in 2022. A special election was scheduled to be held on December 9, 2023, but was cancelled due to concerns about the situation in the district and Teves' appeal against his expulsion in the Supreme Court.
