The 2025 season will consist of 44 regular season games. The WNBA announced prior to the end of the 2024 season that the Finals in 2025 would be a best of seven series.[2] The WNBA players' union announced on October 21, 2024 that they had opted out of the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) in place with the league. This is set to not affect the 2025 season as the current deal runs through the entire season.[3]
It was announced ahead of the 2025 season in November of 2024, that the Storm coaching staff was under investigation for allegations of player mistreatment. The Storm ownership hired a law firm to investigate any player allegations.[4][5][6]
