The 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup qualification for the FIBA Asia-Oceania region, will begin in November 2025 and will conclude in March 2027. The process will determine the seven teams that will join the automatically qualified host Qatar at the 2027 FIBA World Cup.[1]

Format
editIn total, eight World Cup berths will be allocated for the Asia-Oceania region. A slot was automatically given to Qatar as host.
The qualification structure is as follows:
- First round: 16 teams will be divided into four groups of four teams to play a double round-robin system (home-and-away matches). Three best placed teams from a group will advance to the second round.
- Second round: 12 teams will be divided into two groups of six teams. Each group will be formed from teams that advanced from the four first round groups. All results from the previous round will be carried over. The six best placed teams (excluding automatic qualified host) from this round will qualify for the World Cup.
Entrants
editThe 16 teams that qualify for the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup will participate in the first round of the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup Asian qualifiers. Qatar, the host of the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup, will also participate in the qualifiers, despite being automatically qualified for the tournament.
