Founded in 2017, 31 East is a Canadian label and publishing company co-founded by the multi-talented duo Banx & Ranx, consisting of Zacharie "Soké" Raymond and Yannick "KNY Factory" Rastogi.[1] The duo, renowned for their Multi-Platinum successes, are both JUNO Award winners and have received nominations for GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY Awards.

31 East’s mission is to elevate a new wave of talent across diverse genres, with a strong emphasis on artist development, exceptional songcraft, and individuality. The label aims to build a platform that not only thrives in the Canadian music industry but also resonates globally. As Banx & Ranx put it, their vision is to create music "from Montreal to the world." In less than a year since the partnership with UMC, 31 East artists have garnered significant acclaim. The label’s roster—featuring Banx & Ranx, Rêve, and Preston Pablo—achieved Platinum and Double Platinum certification on three consecutive Top 10 radio singles, accumulating over 2.5 billion streams globally. Notable certified tracks include “Flowers Need Rain” (3x Platinum)[2] and “Ctrl + Alt + Del” (2x Platinum).[3] The collective success of these artists was recognized at the 2023 JUNO Awards, where they secured three prestigious awards: Breakthrough Group, Breakthrough Artist, and Dance Recording of the Year.[4]
