Adam Azim (politician)

Adam Azim (Dhivehi: އާދަމް އާޒިމް; born 17 December 1971) is a Maldivian politician who is currently serving as the Mayor of Malé since 22 January 2024.

He won the Mayoral Elections, defeating ruling party, People's National Congress's candidate, Azima Shakoor.

Career

Adam Azim is the incumbent Mayor of Malé, the capital of the Maldives.[1][2] He also served as the Chief executive officer of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company.[3] Azim also served as the managing director of State Trading Organization.[4][5]

Mayoral Elections 2024

On 14 January 2024, Azim was elected as the Mayor of Malé defeating People's National Congress's candidate, Azima Shakoor with a vote of 7,621.[6][7]
