Administration Committee

The Administration Committee is a select committee of the House of Commons in the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It has a remit "to consider the services provided for and by the House of Commons".

This is a cross-party committee that is made of eleven backbench members. Starting in 2015, the committee chair is whichever member also sits on the House of Commons Commission.

There are weekly meetings held in private, with occasional evidence sessions held publicly. It is considered an inward-facing 'Domestic Committee'. The members are an advisory committee to the House of Commons Commission whose work encompasses many topics, including:[1]

  • Catering and banqueting
  • Visitor services and retail
  • Digital services
  • Broadcasting of Parliament
  • Education and public outreach and engagement
  • Rules of access and use of facilities
  • Management of the buildings and facilities which make up the Parliamentary Estate
