Ahmed Mohamed Gulaid (Somali: Axmed Maxamed Guuleed; 16 June 1930 – 21 December 1992), also known as the Ahmed Jimaleh, was a Somali politician and the first chairman of Somali National Movement (SNM).[1] Gulaid belonged to the Sa'ad Muse sub-division of the Habr Awal Isaaq clan.[citation needed]

Ahmed Mohamed Gulaid was the first to be elected as chairman of the SNM organization in October 1981.[2]

Following a political conflict in SNM, Ahmed Mohamed Gulaid resigned from the position as chairman in January 1982.
