Akbar Khamiso Khan (Sindhi: اڪبر خميسو خان) is an alghoza player from the Sindh province of Pakistan.[1][2]

Early life

Khan was born on August 10, 1976[3] in Hyderabad, Hyderabad District, Sindh, Pakistan.[4] His father was renowned alghoza player Khamiso Khan.

Career

Khan has performed both domestically and internationally. One of his most notable performances was at the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of OIC in Saudi Arabia.[5] He plays tunes from all the provinces of Pakistan.[6]

Awards

Khan won the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz Award by the Government of Pakistan in 2010.[7][8]
