Joseph Alfred Xavier Michiels (December 25, 1813 - October 28, 1892) was a French historian and writer on art and literature.
Biography
editHe was born in Rome of Dutch-Burgundian parents. He began his law studies at Strassburg (1834), but made his home in Paris.
