Alkanibacter is a Gram-negative genus of bacteria from the family of Nevskiaceae with one known species (Alkanibacter difficilis).[2][1][3][4] Alkanibacter difficilis has been isolated from a hexane degrading biofilter in Hamm in Germany.[5][2]
