Alliance University is a private university[6] in Karnataka, India. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes[7] in the academic disciplines of business, engineering, technology, liberal arts, applied mathematics, commerce, and law under the aegis of its flagship constituent colleges Alliance School of Business, Alliance College of Engineering and Design, Alliance School of Law, Alliance Ascent College, Alliance School of Liberal Arts, and the Alliance School of Applied Mathematics and Alliance Executive Education.

History and governance
editAlliance University has a history of over 25 years[8] within the educational sector. It is the first private university in both Karnataka and South India.
Originally established in 1995 as Alliance Business Academy, the institution later transformed into Alliance Business School in 2005. Through the enactment of the Karnataka State Act No. 34 in 2010, Alliance University attained the status of a university. The university is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi.[9] The growth and development of the university has been supported by Alliance Business School Pvt. Ltd.[10]
In March 2021, a new leadership team was appointed, including the Chancellor, Pro-Chancellor, and Vice Chancellor.
Campus
editAlliance Central Campus-The central campus is situated within the borders of Bangalore City, in Chandapura-Anekal Main Road[11] and houses more than 60 acres of green campus[12] and over 80 multimedia enabled classrooms. The campus also includes 18 acres of sporting facilities, an administrative block, central library, learning center, labs, fitness and activity center, multiple food outlets, and halls of residents for its students.

editThe university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, executive, and doctoral degree programs and several professional certificate programs under its constituent schools.
Alliance School of Business[13] offers B.Com., BBA, MBA, MBA-Digital Transformation, Executive PGDM, and Ph.D. in management.
Alliance School of Law offers. B.A. LL.B., B.B.A. LL.B., LL.B., LL.M., and Ph.D. in law.
Alliance College of Engineering and Design offers B.Tech., M.Tech., and Ph.D. in Engineering and Design.
Alliance Ascent College offers BBA and MBA.
Alliance School of Liberal Arts offers B.Sc., BA, BFA, B. Des., BVA, MA, Global Leaders’ Alliance (GLA), Ph.D. in Sciences, Ph.D. in economics, and Ph.D. from School of Liberal Arts.
Alliance School of Applied Mathematics offers M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics.
In addition to the full-time programs, the university offers a variety of on-campus and flexi-mode executive education programs and doctoral programs with a research-focused teaching methodology and learning.

editAlliance Literary Festival[21]; May 20-21st, 2022 Alliance University presented the biggest literary festival hosted by an educational institution in India. An initiative of the Alliance School of Liberal Arts, the event witnessed speakers and performers in the areas of art, history, culture, politics, management, media, music, and much more.
