Anbar is a small village in the Swabi District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan. It is located at 34 02 50 N and 72 24 40 E at an altitude of 1010 ft. The Swabi Interchange is located in Anbar village and is the central location for the motorway connecting Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. University Of Swabi is situated in Anbar which was the great achievement of ANP Govt. further the university is extended in PTI Govt from 2013 to 2018, and more extension has been done from 2018 to 2022 in PTI Govt. There are 3 Govt Schools for Boys and Girls. Anbar is now a days a business hub in Swabi due to location and geographic proximity.

Overview
editThe people belong to the Aba Khel sub-tribe of the Mandanr Yusufzai tribe. Bular Khel, Shamshi Khel and Tajukhel cast which is considered the most honourable cast among Pakhtoons. (First settled in Anbar) The estimated population of Taju Khel globally are estimate at 150,000 to 200,000. The Khanism and Malakism is also awarded to TajuKhel. The descendants of Turabaz Khan Tajukhel are living in Ambar. The Malakism in Ambar was transferred from Sarandaz Khan Tajukhel to Sarbiland Khan Tajukhel, he is the descendant of Khawas Khan Tajukhel. However, the Malyar Pashtoon tribe is increasing in number due to high the birth rate.
Education
editThe Ambar populace is highly educated, with a literacy rate of 90%. In 2012, the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa inaugurated University of Swabi at Ambar. The university campus is spread over 200 kanals and is the first public sector university in Swabi.[1]
Ambar also contains two segregated elementary colleges, one for boys and one for girls. The village is transforming into a commercial town with each passing year due to the construction of a motorway interchange and university.[citation needed]
Sports
editAmbar fields teams on the district level for cricket and volleyball, with its volleyball team holding several provincial championships. Its cricket team is also ranked at the top on district level. Also, there are the champions of Khabaddi. The most popular game is Pakhtoon (Makhaa) (archery sport).
