Ascuta parornata is a species of Orsolobidae. The species is endemic to New Zealand.[1]

Taxonomy
editThis species was described in 1985 by Ray Forster and Norman Platnick from male and female specimens collected in Fiordland. The holotype is stored in Otago Museum.[1]
Description
editThe female is recorded at 3.28mm in length whilst the male is 2.88mm. The carapace and abdomen have patterning dorsally.[1]
Distribution
editThis species is only known from Fiordland, New Zealand.[1]
Conservation status
editUnder the New Zealand Threat Classification System, this species is listed as "Data Deficient" with the qualifiers of "Data Poor: Size" and "Data Poor: Trend".[2]
