Athletics at the 1970 British Commonwealth Games – Women's 800 metres

The women's 800 metres event at the 1970 British Commonwealth Games was held on 24 and 25 July 1970 at the Meadowbank Stadium in Edinburgh, Scotland.[1][2] It was the first time that the metric distance was contested at the Games, replacing the 880 yards event.
