Athletics at the 2024 Summer Olympics – Women's 3000 metres steeplechase

The women's 3000 metres steeplechase at the 2024 Summer Olympics is scheduled to be held in two rounds at the Stade de France in Paris, France, on 4 and 6 August 2024. This will be fifth time that the women's 3000 metres steeplechase is contested at the Summer Olympics. A total of 36 athletes will be able to qualify for the event by entry standard or ranking.

The women's 3000 metres steeplechase is one of the most recent additions to the Olympic athletics programme, having been added at the 2008 Olympics.

Qualification

For the women's 3000 metres steeplechase event, the qualification period is between 1 July 2023 and 30 June 2024.[5] 36 athletes are able to qualify for the event, with a maximum of three athletes per nation, by running the entry standard of 9:23.00 seconds or faster or by their World Athletics Ranking for this event.[5]
