Attijariwafa bank is a Moroccan multinational commercial bank and financial services company founded and based in Casablanca, Morocco. It is the leading bank in Morocco and the fifth largest bank in Africa in 2021,[3] and is controlled by the Al Mada holding company.

It was established by the 2004 merger between Banque Commerciale du Maroc and Wafabank.
The bank maintains offices in Europe and Asia, and has several subsidiary banks in Africa.[4] It is listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.[5]
History
editAs of 2013, Mohamed El Kettani was chair of the board and managing director, and Abdelaziz Alami was honorary chair.[6]
In 2022, Attijariwafa Bank along with Maroc Telecom were among the 20 leading companies in Africa.[7]
On 8 November 2022, Attijariwafa Bank Partnered with Union Bank of Nigeria to Expand its Operations in Africa.[8][9]
On 10 August 2023, Attijariwafa Bank has launched a new payment solution that is powered by Apple Pay.[10]
