Bambara Wasanthe (Sinhala: බඹර වසන්තේ), is a 2024 Sri Lankan Sinhalese romantic mystery film directed by Mohan Niyaz and produced by TT Nades for Uni Lanka Films.[3][4] It stars Channa Perera and Tanasha Satharasinghe in lead roles along with Jagath Galappatti, Gayesha Perera, Buddhika Jayarathne and Rex Kodippili in supportive roles.[5][6]

Production and release
editThe film marked the thirteenth cinematic direction of Mohan Niyaz,[4][9] who previously directed the films Yasōmā (1997), Blendings (1997), Anurāgayē Ananthaya (2000), Sanda Yahanata (2000), Kalu Sudu Mal (2002), Eka Malaka Pethi (2006), Api Marenne Na (2014) and Sri Wickrama (2023).[10] TT Nades is the producer, whereas story, dialogues and screenplay made by Jagath Galappatti who also made a supportive role.[3][11]
K.D. Dayananda is the cinematographer and Anura Bandara is the editor. Colors combination done by Ananda Bandara, sound mixing by Susantha Dharmapriya, makeup by Gayani Satharasinghe and Teddy Vidyalankara is the stunt director.[11] Neil Warnakulasooriya is the music composer.[4] Uresha Ravihari, Mario Ananda, Amila Nadeeshani, Jagath Galappatti, Neil Warnakulasuriya and Suranga de Silva made background vocals. Mallavagedara Sunil Ananda contributed with lyrics and art direction.[3] The film has been shot in and around the scenic locations of Nuwara Eliya and Talawakelle.[12]
