The Barnard Astronomical Society is an amateur astronomical society based in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The Society was formed on November 15, 1923University of Chattanooga Professor Burleigh S. Annis at the Chattanooga YMCA. The society's name came from the recently deceased, distinguished Tennessee astronomer Edward Emerson Barnard.[1]
