"Bby Wow" (stylized as "BbY WOW") is a song by Colombian singer-songwriter Karol G and Spanish singer-songwriters Judeline and Rusowsky, from the former's sixth studio album No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto (2026), which was released on August 7, 2026, through Bichota Records and Interscope Records. Alongside the artists, the track was co-produced Tainy and Omer Fedi. They all additionally co-wrote the track, alongside Andrés Jael Correa Ríos.

Prior to the recording of the collaboration, Judeline had co-written four songs for Giraldo's album, who invited her to perform on "Bby Wow" alongside Rusowsky. "Bby Wow" is a dancehall track that samples the "Coolie Dance" riddim, leading to comparisons with tracks such as Nina Sky's "Move Ya Body". Giraldo described the track as an emotional song that people can also find theirselves dancing to. Thematically, the song revolves around a lost relationship and sees Giraldo remembering someone she is unable to forget.

The track received positive reviews from critics, with some calling it a catchy track and an "unexpected hit". The song was also met with commercial success, peaking at number 29 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and at number one on the US Hot Latin Songs chart, being Judeline and Rusowsky's first number-one song on the chart. It also peaked at number five on the Billboard Global 200, and peaked within the top 10 on national charts in 13 countries, including Giraldo's native Colombia, where it peaked at number one.

Background

On July 29, 2026, Karol G announced her sixth studio album No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto (2026), revealing its release date as August 7 of the same year.[1] Days before the album's release, she revealed its tracklist, with "Bby Wow" listed as the 11th track.[2][3] Prior to this, Giraldo first contacted Judeline, a Spanish singer-songwriter, to write a few songs for the album.[4] The result was four co-written songs, including Giraldo's single "Matadora", and Giraldo then invited Judeline to perform on another track, "Bby Wow", which would also feature her fellow collaborator Rusowsky.[4]

Composition

"Bby Wow" has been categorized as a dancehall track,[5][6][7] with elements of alternative pop and reggaeton.[8] It samples the "Coolie Dance" riddim, which persistently runs throughout the entire song.[9] Because of the use of this sample, critics compared the track to Nina Sky's "Move Ya Body" and Kat DeLuna's "Whine Up".[10][11] In lyrical context, "Bby Wow" revolves around a lost relationship,[8] and it involves Giraldo singing about remembering a person that they are unable to forget about.[5] Giraldo felt that her album, No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto, needed an emotional song that people could also find theirselves dancing to, further explaining the concept of "Bby Wow",

"So, what happens when you're in the club and you're heartbroken? You just think about the other person, about the song you'd love to be dancing to with that person."[12]

Critical reception

"Bby Wow" received positive reviews from critics. Jessica Roiz from Billboard noted that "Bby Wow" was already a fan-favorite track from No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto on social media, calling it "a bop".[13] In a ranking of all 14 tracks from the album by the same publication, Roiz ranked "Bby Wow" at number four.[5] Pitchfork's Maria Nenet Barrios referred it as one of the album's best collaborations, stating that it "hits the mark" that her other collaborations from the album, "Ahí" with Drake and "Still" with Bruno Mars in particular, were not able to reach.[7] Complex's Dimas Sanfiorenzo and Antonio Johri agreed that the track is "one of the better uses of the [Coolie Dance riddim], as they flip the familiar rhythm into a melancholy pop banger".[6]

Commercial performance

On the issue dated August 22, 2026, the track debuted at number five on the US Hot Latin Songs chart, earning 4.5 million streams within its first week of release in the United States.[4] On the same issue, it also debuted at 73 on the Billboard Hot 100.[14] These were both Judeline and Rusowsky's first entries on a Billboard chart.[9] A week later, on the issue dated August 29, the track reached the summit of the Hot Latin Songs,[15] Hot Latin Rhythm Songs,[16] and Latin Streaming Songs charts,[14] dethroning Giraldo's own track "Ahí" from the position on the former.[17] In addition, it reached a new peak of number 38 on the Billboard Hot 100,[18] earning 6.1 million streams within its second tracking week in the country.[14]

On August 28, 2026, "Bby Wow" peaked atop the daily global Spotify chart, making it Giraldo's second song to reach the summit of the chart, after her collaboration with Shakira, "TQG", reached that position in 2023.[19] Additionally, Judeline became the first female Spanish artist to have a song peak at number one on the chart.[20] "Bby Wow" rose from number 171 to a new peak of number 37 in its second week on the Billboard Global 200, earning 17.9 million streams worldwide.[14][21] On its third week, it reached a new peak of number five on the same chart, earning 26 million streams worldwide from a 45% gain, as well as number 10 on the Billboard Global Excl. US chart.[22]

In Giraldo's native country Colombia, "Bby Wow" peaked at number one on the Colombia Hot 100 chart in its third week.[23] In Judeline and Rusowsky's native country Spain, the song rose from number 30 to number 10 in its second week.[8] In its third week, it rose to number three, just behind two songs by Quevedo.[24][25] In other countries, it reached the top position of national charts in Bolivia,[26] Ecuador,[27] and Peru.[28] It also reached the top 10 in Chile (4),[29] the Dominican Republic (10),[30] El Salvador (5),[31] Honduras (10),[32] Mexico (2),[33] Panama (10),[34] Paraguay (10),[35] and Venezuela (9).[36]
