editIn May 2024, Columbia Pictures was developing a science fiction thriller film titled Beneath the Storm with Tommy Wirkola writing and directing, and Phoebe Dynevor cast in the lead role.[1] In August, principal photography began in Australia, when Whitney Peak and Djimon Hounsou joined the cast.[2]
