A middle- and lower-order batsman who often kept wicket, Bloodworth was a natural hitter whose attacking approach often led to his dismissal.[3] He made 115, his only century, against Essex in May 1925.[4]
After retiring from playing, Bloodworth served as a scorer for Gloucestershire. He became Gloucestershire's head groundsman from 1950 until his retirement in 1965.[5][6] He died in 1967 at the age of 73.[7]
