Bernardo de la Guardia (14 April 1900 – 21 February 1970) was a Costa Rican fencer. He competed in the individual sabre event at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, Germany.[1] This was the first time that Costa Rica competed in the Summer Olympic Games. As the sole Costa Rican athlete at the 1936 Games, he was also the flag bearer for Costa Rica.[2]
