Biao Ren is an upcoming Historical fantasy film directed by Yuen Woo-ping, based on the manhua of the same name. Produced by Alibaba Pictures in association with Beijing Dengfeng International Culture Communications Company and Woo Ping Pictures. The film stars Wu Jing in the title role, alongside Nicholas Tse, Yu Shi and Jet Li.

editIn July 2023, it was announced that a film adaptation of the Biao Ren manhua is in development,[1] and in December 2023, it was revealed that Yuen Woo-ping will direct the live-action film.[2] In June 2024, it was announced that Wu Jing will produce the film and were cast as the lead role Dao Ma, with Nicholas Tse joining the cast,[3][4][5] in the following months Yu Shi and Jet Li joined the cast.[6][7]
Filming
editPrincipal photography officially began on July 26, 2024, in Xinjiang and is expected to be completed in the same year.[8]
