The Big Grass Fire is an ongoing wildfire in the U.S. states of Idaho and Oregon. Started by lighting on July 23, 2026,[1][2] it is the largest wildfire in modern Oregon history.[3][4] The fire is approximately 85 percent contained, as of August 20, 2026.[5]
Governor Brad Little signed a disaster emergency declaration to dedicate Idaho National Guard resources to the fire.[6]
