Bolívar is a town and municipality in the Cauca Department, Colombia.[2] Founded in October 1784 by Domingo Belisario Gómez, the municipality covers an area of 746.3 km (464 mi) and has a population of 57,511.[2] The population is primarily engaged in agriculture and ranching.[2]
