Brandon Silverstein is an American entrepreneur, investor, and entertainment industry executive. He is the founder and CEO of S10 Entertainment, a record label, artist management, music publishing, film, and investment company.[2][3][4]

Career

While in high school in Tenafly, New Jersey, Silverstein created and promoted independent parties and events in New York City in addition to booking talent for Noah Tepperberg's clubs.[2][5] As a freshman at Indiana University, Silverstein co-founded a music festival with the first iterations taking place on a farm with Avicii and Tiesto headlining.[6][2] In his senior year, Silverstein dropped out of college to pursue his interest in music management. He returned back to New York and established S10 Entertainment & Media. Silverstein and his company S10 later formed a music management partnership with Jay Z and Jay Brown, the co-founders of Roc Nation, leading to numerous collaborations.[7]

Through S10, Silverstein has represented top artists,[8][2] managing the first global number one records for Myke Towers,[9][10] Big Sean,[11] Normani,[12] and Anitta.[2] In 2020 he launched S10 Publishing and formed partnerships with Ryan Tedder and Avex.[13][14][15] Silverstein has also been involved in global hits like Justin Bieber’s "Peaches",[16] which was nominated for “Song of the Year” at the 2022 Grammy Awards[17] and won “Song of the Year” at the 2022 BMI R&B/Hip Hop Awards and “Most Performed” at the 2022 BMI Pop Awards,[18] and Tate McRae's "Greedy",[19] which reached number one on Billboard's Pop Airplay chart,[20] the Billboard Global 200[21] and on the Spotify Global chart,[22] and number three on the Billboard Hot 100.[23] Additional hit songs published by Silverstein and the company that contributed to over 40 billion streams[24] include Doja Cat's "Agora Hills",[9] which landed at number one on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart for one week,[25] Jack Harlow's "First Class",[26] Post Malone's "I Like You" (featuring Doja Cat),[26] Tommy Richman’s "Million Dollar Baby",[27] which landed at number one on Billboard’s Global 200[28] and Hip Hop/R&B charts,[29] and Drake and 21 Savage's "Calling for You".[30] In 2022, Silverstein’s S10 Films division partnered with Simon Fuller to develop new projects across film, television, documentary and audio mediums.[31] S10 Publishing’s catalog also includes music from Bad Bunny and Rihanna.[32]

In 2024, Katsumi Kuroiwa, the global CEO of Japanese entertainment conglomerate, Avex Inc., announced at an investor’s conference in Tokyo that the company made a strategic investment into Silverstein’s S10 Entertainment, seeking to give its Japanese artists access to top management teams in exchange for increased entry into the Asian market for S10’s artists.[32][24]

The executive has earned a number of industry awards throughout his career, including the Forbes "30 Under 30"[33] in 2019, Variety’s “New Leaders”[34] in 2021, and Music Business Worldwide’s “Worlds Greatest Managers”[35] in 2022. Billboard has honored the executive on multiple occasions, including “40 Under 40"[36] and "Executive of the Week"[37] in 2021, “Latin Power”[38] in 2022, and in 2023, he was awarded the magazine’s first-ever “Power Players’ Choice Award,”[39] part of their annual Power 100 ranking of the music industry's most powerful executives.
