Carex scirpoidea is a species of sedge belonging to the family Cyperaceae.[1] It is dioecious, with male and female flowers on separate plants.[2]

Its native range is Norway (Solvågtind), Russia (Siberia and far eastern Russia), Greenland,[3][4] Canada and the US.[1]
