Career
editCollege & Amateur
editPenland played four years of college soccer at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro between 2016 and 2019.[1]
While at college, Penland appeared in the squad for NPSL side Tulsa Athletics during their 2016 season,[2] and played with USL League Two side North Carolina Fusion U23 in 2019.[3]
Professional
editOn January 24, 2020, Penland signed for USL Championship side Charlotte Independence.[4] He made his professional debut on March 8, 2020, appearing as an 89th-minute substitute in a 2–1 victory over Sporting Kansas City II.[5]
