Academy of Fine Arts (Turkish: Güzel Sanatlar Akademisi) was the successor of the 1882-founded School of Fine Industry (Sanayi-i Nefise Mektebi). The academy was formed in 1928, and lasted until 1982 when it became part of the newly established Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. Alumni of the academy are those, who left or graduated from the institution before 1982.
