This is a listing of all Australian rules football players to have been selected in an All-Australian team. From 1953 to 1988 selection of the official men's All-Australian team was by representatives of the various state and territorial teams at national carnivals. Since 1991, following the VFL's conversion to a national competition and its renaming as the Australian Football League (AFL), the team has been chosen exclusively from AFL players each season. The first AFL Women's (AFLW) All-Australian team was announced in 2017, coinciding with the conclusion of the competition's inaugural season. All-Australian teams show the best 22 players in a team that year.
