This category is designed to hold articles about English cricketers who played during the period that is generally known as the roundarm era of cricket's history. The effective beginning of roundarm was soon after the catastrophic fire at Lord's Cricket Ground in 1825 which destroyed many irreplaceable documents; information about cricket's history is much more certain from 1826. 1863 was the last season before the legalisation of overarm bowling.
