The Guardian Children's Fiction Prize is a British literary award, once-in-a-lifetime for authors, that annual recognises one new fiction book for children or young adults, published in the United Kingdom. Established by The Guardian newspaper for 1966 publications, it was for many years restricted to British and Commonwealth authors.
