Category:Syria articles needing merge action

This is a holding category monitored by WikiProject Syria. It contains any Syria-related articles which are currently flagged as being in need of some sort of Merge action (including Merge and delete). Articles are automatically placed in this category if the merge parameter flag is set to a value of "yes" on the {{WP Syria}} project banner attached to the article's talk page. One of the appropriate {{merge}} templates should also be placed at the top of the article itself, as well as the other article(s) involved in the merger consideration. If necessary, consensus for the merge action and target should be obtained first in discussion on the appropriate talk page. Once this is obtained, or if otherwise the merge action is deemed to be uncontroversial, action should be taken to complete the merger into the chosen target article, the other(s) being redirected or deleted, as appropriate. Once the merger has been completed, remove the merge tags in the article and also remove the merge flag in the project banner on the articles' talk pages. Action similarly if no consensus to merge, or it is decided against merging.

This category is a self-reference, and as such does not form part of the encyclopedic material. It is used by the Project as part of managing the overall workload.
