All Uruguayan poets should be in one or more by-century categories (see subcategories below) based on when they wrote poetry (note: Some poets may belong in two such categories).
Poets should also be placed into Category:Uruguayan women poets as appropriate, and into any relevant genre, time-frame, religion, or ethnicity categories as well. However, a poet should never only be in an ethnic or gender-based category – all poets should be in the century-categories at a minimum, and the gender category if relevant.
