Explaining category

I originally thought that "1940 sports events in London" (or for any other year in the decade before 1946) would not have enough articles to justify a category owing to the suspension of most sporting activity in the United Kingdom due to the Second World War. However I now see that there are enough articles to make the category for 1940 worthwhile. Dunarc (talk) 15:13, 26 April 2020 (UTC)
