editThe Wikipedia category "American Humorists" corresponds to Wikimedia Commons "Humorists from the United States". The latter has only one entry. Shouldn't the two be normalized? GCL (talk) 18:59, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
Distinguish between humorists and comedians
editIt would be helpful if this list were divided into two lists, one for humorists (writers) and the other for comedians (those who deliver live comedy, including stand-up comedy). 68.224.253.145 (talk) 05:39, 30 March 2017 (UTC) Anonymous
- There does seems to be significant overlap, some humorists writers read and/or perform their work, for example Elna Baker and David Sedaris on This American Life. Comedian seems to be the larger category. Can there be a requirement for the presence of a bibliography in the profile to define a "humorist"? Euripadent (talk) 16:49, 22 July 2024 (UTC)
