Among the highly distinguished essayists missing from this Wikipedia article are Pulitzer Prize winners Robert J. Samuelson and George F. Will. Another prominent essayist whose name is absent is the late British born American William F. Buckley, Jr.. The list includes other essayists on matters political and economic, such as New York Times columnists Paul Krugman and Frank Rich, but their colleague Charles Blow is also not included.
