This category currently has over 1000 articles and very few subcategories. I would like to start diffusing the articles into subcategory by state, but am also open to diffusing by topic if there is interest. I will leave this here for some discussion.
If you're still interested in defusing, I definitely think that topic is a better way to do it than by state. It's often debatable what state to use for people, and certain states are likely still going to be far more populated than others.
