Diff with minor planets?

I do not see the distinction this category attempts to make between asteroids and minor planets. The minor planet article states that these terms are synonymous. I suggest this page be merged into that category unless someone can point out a distinction other than perference for the term.Mrwuggs 16:35, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
