The term "Jew"
editShouldn't this cateogry be called 'Jewish Australians'? 'Jew' is usually a derogatory term these days. --194.238.70.70 15:05, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
- This question has already been discussed many times on the talk pages of the Jew article. Basically, it depends on the context and who is using it. When "Jew" is used by Jews themselves or by neutral parties it's acceptable. And yes, the term "Jewish" is safer, but on Wikipedia no rules have been established so both terms are used.
