This is going to be an awfully huge list. Perhaps this should be a parent category for more specific categories, so that this won't be flooded with every product ever made in mankind's history? Fuzheado | Talk 03:32, 18 Aug 2004 (UTC)
I was thinking the same thing.. Maybe a Clothing brands category etc. would be nice? --Vikingstad 23:59, May 2, 2005 (UTC)

The name for this category strikes me as a bit of a misnomer, so I'm thinking about taking it to CFD to propose renaming it to "Category:Brand name products". But I thought perhaps somebody here might be able to provide a persuasive explanation for its current name. I'll check back in a few days -- thanks. Cgingold (talk) 12:28, 9 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

I would suggest that individual brands are only included in the brands category tree if they deviate from company names. Otherwise the brands tree will become more or less a duplicate of the companies tree. Any comments pro or con? Marcocapelle (talk) 22:15, 9 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
