edit@Marcocapelle: I don't feel I have mastered the niceties here. Are Armenian Catholic priests necessarily Eastern? If so then should that be a sub-cat of Eastern Catholic priests by nationality, and is Armenian Eastern Catholic priests a duplicate? – Fayenatic London 14:54, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Fayenatic london: as priests of the Armenian Catholic Church they are surely Eastern Catholic, but not necessarily of Armenian nationality. Presumably "Armenian" in Category:Armenian Eastern Catholic priests was meant as nationality by the creator. Marcocapelle (talk) 16:21, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
- These are all confusing terms, although they can be correct. The "Armenian Catholic" compound should probably be reserved for members of the Armenian Catholic Church. These are not necessarily of Armenian nationality in the meaning of citizenship, surely in terms of ethnicity, as Armenians are an ethnoreligious group where religious affiliation is key in national identification.
