Human rights abuses in the United Kingdom
editCensorship is not necessarily a human rights abuse. This categorisation is wrong. Whizz40 (talk) 19:42, 11 October 2020 (UTC)
- Censorship is always a human rights abuse as free access to information is a basic human right. See article 19 of UDHR Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations Hmains (talk) 02:31, 12 October 2020 (UTC)
- This is too narrower a definition. Censorship can sometimes be justified, for example access to illegal information is not a basic human right. We can't apply a such a black and white definition that is not always true as a Wikipedia category. The article censorship makes this clear. This is a topic in human rights and should be categorised there for our readers; it is not categorically an abuse of human rights. Whizz40 (talk) 09:16, 12 October 2020 (UTC)
