This category is about collecting and to this end I had removed all items that are collected as collectables since it was a big long confusing mish-mash of articles. My edits were undone and we are back to the bloated category. The articles that are about collectable items are better off in the extensive List of collectibles. -- Alan Liefting (talk - contribs) 22:08, 13 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
I look forward to your 'easy solution' as it juxtaposes with your mere removal of the category with no explanation whatsoever. Dreadstar☥22:45, 13 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
I don't think an anti-WP:CLS argument is really the most effective to use. It's obvious that things collected as collectables belong as a part of the category of collecting. However, it's also true that these things are meant to be in sub-categories and not just hanging out in the main category area. My advice would be to create a few subcategories to this one and stuff them in there. That way, they will be a part of the Collecting Category and also be in a subcategory that more clearly defines what they are. SilverserenC13:10, 14 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
I'd like to see a sub-category created for Collectable glassware, another for Collectable pottery. There are already a few articles that can go into each of those.OttawaAC (talk) 21:50, 30 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
