If you have a reliable source that Commanders of the California Republic were Heads of the State of the United States, please provide it; otherwise stop adding a category claiming that they were. Hiya Carlossuarez46. Next time please use the talk page for discussing an article. You might also want to reread what WP:vandalism is and is not.
Please note what categories something is in has more to do with the answer to "what categories would editors look in to find this type of thing?" and less to do with if any one published an RS worded the way you want.
Let's assume that we could and would cite categories in categories. Let us discuss this per WP:CON. What is the reason you think this may not be the case. Do you think the CR was not a nation-state? Do you think some other office was its head of the state? Do you object with some other part of the reasoning?
