What is meant by this? Currently there are taxa which are clearly valid in this category, they seem to be included because their exact affinities are debated, but that has nothing to do with taxonomic validity. So do they belong here? FunkMonk (talk) 23:02, 24 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

This category was just moved from "controversial taxa" without discussion (which should rarely if ever be done), and changes the scope of the category. Controversial is not the same as disputed. For example, the tarpan is controversial for what it contains, it is not disputed that it is a taxon. The move has probably messed up more cases like that.
